The Wood Awards is proud to partner with Material Matters for the fourth year running, bringing the 2025 shortlist to life as part of London Design Festival.

This free exhibition will showcase the Wood Awards shortlisted buildings, furniture, and sculptural objects, celebrating the very best of timber design and architecture in the UK.
A new venue for 2025
For the first time, the Wood Awards Exhibition will be hosted at Space House, one of London’s most iconic Grade II-listed modernist buildings. The exhibition forms part of the wider Material Matters design fair, which brings together world-leading brands, designers, and makers in an annual celebration of material intelligence.
Alongside numerous installations, exhibits, and events, the Wood Awards Exhibition will highlight how wood can be used innovatively and sustainably to design a better future.

About the Wood Awards
Established in 1971, the Wood Awards are the UK’s premier competition for excellence in architecture and design in wood. Each year, projects from across the UK are shortlisted by an independent panel of judges, before the winners are announced at the prestigious annual ceremony in November.
From more than two hundred entries, this year’s shortlist represents the very best in timber innovation, sustainability, and craftsmanship — showcasing the transformative potential of one of the world’s most sustainable materials.
