WOOD AWARDS SOCIAL MEDIA ENTRIES EXPO FOR 2013 ENTRIES

The Wood Awards – the UK’s premier award scheme recognising excellence in architecture and furniture in the world’s only naturally sustainable material – is now open for entries. The Wood Awards recognise, encourage and promote outstanding design, craftsmanship and installation in wood and with permission from the owner, anyone associated with an eligible building or furniture project not entered before and completed in the UK in the last two years, can enter.

This year, the Wood Awards will feature all entries as they are received on its Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest pages. This online exhibition of all entries will give entrants the opportunity to inspire others and receive exposure before the shortlist is even considered. Closing deadline for entries is 24th May, but get your entries in early to make the most of the Wood Awards 2013 Entries expo!

The main categories for the Wood Awards 2013 are Commercial & Public Access, Private, Small Project, Structural, Repair & Adaptive Reuse, Bespoke Furniture and Production Made Furniture.

Visit www.woodawards.com for the criteria, details on each of the categories and to enter online. The Wood Awards inspires as many people possible to consider and use wood in architecture and furniture, and encourages those who already do, to enter!

As the flagship for wood in the best of British architecture, furniture and design, the Wood Awards is only made possible by its sponsors and supporters. Canada Wood returns in 2013 as a lead sponsor, once again joining founding sponsors the American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC) and the Carpenters’ Company, with major sponsors Wood for Good and TRADA. Other sponsors include American Softwoods, and this year Wood Awards also welcomes the return of the Forestry Commission.

The Wood Awards is free to enter, and building and furniture entries completed in the last two years and not entered before can be entered before 24th May. Visitwww.woodawards.com for details.
