The Wood Awards is partnering with Material Matters for a third year to display the shortlisted projects at London Design Festival.
From 18 – 21 September, the Wood Awards will once again partner with Material Matters to showcase the Wood Awards shortlisted buildings, furniture items and objects.
Returning to the iconic Bargehouse at Oxo Tower Wharf on London’s Southbank, the Material Matters design fair will bring together world-leading brands, designers and makers in its annual celebration of material intelligence. The Wood Awards exhibition, located at Gallery@Oxo, will be featured alongside the fair’s numerous installations, exhibits and events, brought together to explore how we can best use resources to design a better, more sustainable world.
Wood Awards Exhibition 2023
Established in 1971, the Wood Awards is the UK’s foremost competition celebrating outstanding architecture, structures, furniture items and objects made using wood.
From more than two hundred entries, a shortlist of eighteen buildings and fifteen furniture projects has been selected across ten categories, revealing a vast diversity of timber excellence and innovation.
All shortlisted furniture items and objects will be displayed alongside presentations of the shortlisted buildings, together telling a powerful story about what can be achieved using timber in design and architecture.
An opening private view and drinks event will take place, by invitation, on Wednesday 18 September, from 18:00-20:30.
