Brent Cross Town Visitor Pavilion
Project Info
This beautiful new facility embraces larch and spruce both in its structure and interior to provide a warm, welcoming gateway; and stands as a herald to an exciting new 180-acre development.
With an internally exposed spruce CLT and glulam frame, the pavilion creates a calm and relaxed atmosphere to enjoy a coffee or explore the emerging Brent Cross development via showrooms and full-scale models. Externally the structure is complemented by larch cladding and solid larch fins on the first-floor façade, along with a bespoke gabion veneer cladding below.
The use of timber as a construction, finishing and weathering material will play a key role in achieving Brent Cross Town’s pledge to be net zero by 2030.
The use of prefabricated timber throughout the pavilion contributed to a low carbon footprint, minimal construction waste and a fast and efficient construction programme. All materials in the pavilion have been selected for their reusability and recycling properties. The building has been designed to host flexible spaces that can be adapted over time to suit the community’s needs.
