Sebastian is a designer and maker who creates heirloom collections of furniture, homeware, bespoke installations, and design for production.
In 2010, he founded the Sebastian Cox workshop on the principle that a traditional approach can be a radical one, and that the past can be used to design and make the future. The zero-waste, carbon counting studio uses timber harvested from their own woodlands, managed for biodiversity and resources in Kent.
Sebastian’s work has received numerous awards including a Design Guild Mark, Homes and Gardens Design Award, and a Wood Award for Outstanding Design. He is also a Liveryman at the Carpenters’ Company.
